Incorporate plenty of vegetables into your daily diet to promote the growth of beneficial gut bacteria, tied to a healthy immune system. Getting exercise and adequate sleep, even working a daily nap into your routine, are also proven ways to support the immune system, advised Dr. Iversen.
As for all that family time?
“Take three deep breaths and take a break. If you need to go sit in the car or the bathroom to have a moment to yourself do that,” Dr. Iversen said.
